The Department is strategically set to develop its special areas of expertise in food and agricultural economics, agribusiness management science, environmental and resource economics, and international trade and development economics which work in concert to fulfill the department’s mission to provide undergraduate and graduate education, outreach to surrounding communities and solutions to problems in agricultural and rural economies through research in financial innovations relevant to dryland agricultural and natural resource conservation and development.
