South Eastern Kenya University(SEKU) Library uses the Library of Congress Classification system (LC). Classification refers to grouping of library materials in a systematic order for the benefit of those who use the materials and also those who manage the materials.
The general subject areas given by this classification system are as given below. Books are arranged on the shelves according to their subject content using a series of letters and numerals derived from this classification system.
