South Eastern Kenya University in collaboration with The International Service for the Acquisition of Agri-biotech Applications (ISAAA) and Mahyco® Seeds Company, cordially invites all staff members to a training on Bt. cotton agronomic practices.
The Open Forum on Agricultural Biotechnology in Africa (OFAB), which has identified SEKU as one of its key representative Kitui County nodes in furtherance of research, innovation and community outreach more so on genetically modified (GM) crops,facilitates the training.
The training will be conducted by Mr. Darlington Mutetwa (Mahyco® Seeds Company),the sole distributor of Bt. cottonseeds in Kenya on Wednesday, 9th March 2022 starting at 10.00am in the Senate Boardroom, Central Administration Building.
All members of staff are encouraged to attend. This offers an opportunity to interact with Mr. Mutetwa on best practices of Bt. cotton farming.
